SPECIAL BUFFALO NEWS REPORT

January 2, 2005 marked the starting point of a year-long focus on the region’s future in the pages of The Buffalo News. It’s really about bringing the larger Western New York community together to envision a new and successful future for our city and region.

Over the course of 2005, the newspaper will produce a series of stories that will examine our region’s central problems in new and innovative ways. Better yet: These stories will offer real solutions for change. They will seek to show the way – in practical, no-nonsense terms – to a bright future for the region. And they will offer hope for those generations of Buffalonians who fought to stay here, even while thousands of others had no choice but to pull up stakes.
