Price of gasoline increases 13 cents in last two weeks - 2/26/2007 CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) - Gasoline prices soared nearly 13 cents a gallon on average nationwide in the past two weeks. The national average for self-serve regular was $2.35 per gallon, up 12.8 cents since Feb. 9, industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said Sunday. |

Download service launched - 2/26/2007 LOS ANGELES (AP) - BitTorrent Inc. is launching a Web site that will sell downloads of films and TV shows licensed from the studios. The BitTorrent Entertainment Network was set to launch today with films from Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Lionsgate and episodes of TV shows such as "24" and "Punk'd." |

Private-buyout firms Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and Texas Pacific Group were in advanced talks Friday to buy utility TXU Corp. in one of the largest private-equity deals ever. The firms were expected to bid at least $32 billion, or about $70 per share for TXU, the largest producer of electric power in Texas with some 2.3 million customers. |

Mortgage rates decline to lowest level in 6 weeks - 2/23/2007 WASHINGTON (AP) - Rates on 30-year mortgages fell this week to the lowest level in six weeks. The mortgage company Freddie Mac reported on Thursday that 30-year, fixed-rate mortgages averaged 6.22 percent this week compared with 6.30 percent last week. |
